KHARKIV NATIONAL ACADEMIC OPERA AND BALLET THEATRE NAMED AFTERM.V. LYSENKO
Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after M.V. Lysenko is one of the oldest musical theaters, the descendant of the best traditions of Ukraine and world, which history dates back to 1870. On its scene performed F. Shaliapin and M. Battistini, A. Nezhdanova and L. Sobinov, N. Zabila, Vrubel, I. Alchevsky and other leading figures of performing arts.
The poster is constantly replenished and now has more than 60 operas and ballets.
This theatre is also known for the Night of the Opera project and interactive backstage tours. Since 1991 the theater has been operating in a new building, where there are not only comfortable halls for spectators, but also opportunities for barrier-less access for visitors.
