Oksana Petrusenko is a bright star of Balakliia

Balakliia district is the home of "Ukrainian nightingale" Oksana Petrusenko. The Balakliiskyi Museum of Local Lore contains the only Ukrainian exposition on the life and creative work of the prominent singer, who, as a member of the perambulating theater, made tours around Ukraine, Russia, Central Asia, and successfully performed arias from Ukrainian classical operas.
